- Discuss ways for your student to get involved in a campus or community activity.
- Oct. 13th: 10th graders will take the PSAT. Colleges do not see this score, results can be used to give students insight into areas of relative strength/weakness. This is a no-pressure practice test.
- Ask your student if they have visited Naviance this school year. If not, please encourage them to update their resume/activities list, add a college/university, or take a self-assessment under the "self-discovery" quick link.
Class of 2023
- Register to attend the 11th Grade Information Night on Thursday, 10/7 @ 6:30 PM
- Discuss ways for your student to get involved in a campus or community activity, maintain grades, use Naviance, and start researching post-secondary options.
- Oct. 13th: 11th graders will take the PSAT or SAT. The PSAT taken in 11th grade is a practice test and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Results can be used to give students insight into areas of relative strength/weakness and inform decisions about taking the SAT or ACT and the timeline. - The SAT can serve as an official score for colleges/universities that require testing. Students can determine, based on this score and their college list if they want to take a future exam or not. Testing requirements and policies for the Class of 2023 are still in flux. The UC's will not use tests for admissions, hundreds of schools will remain test-optional or test-free, and some schools will require official scores.
